Available Positions

BILLING SPECIALIST – FULL or PART TIME
We are currently seeking a knowledgeable, organized, and detail-oriented medical billing specialist to join our exceptional team! This position involves working directly with our staff, clients, and insurance companies, and can be structured as a full-time or part-time position, depending on the candidate. The ideal candidate will have specific experience with therapy billing and Raintree software. They will have a strong background in medical billing, coding, and office procedures. This position requires extraordinary attention to detail, a high level of communication, and effective problem-solving skills. This is a high volume, fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Accurate and timely preparation, submission, and follow up on medical claims to insurance companies and government agencies
  • Submit medical records and appeals to insurance companies, as needed
  • Posting of insurance and client payments
  • Identify and resolve medical billing discrepancies and errors
  • Communicate and collaborate with team members and clients to resolve billing issues and client balances
  • Verify clients’ insurance benefits
  • Document communications, fax, scan, and answer phone calls from clients and insurance companies
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical coding and billing regulations
  • Adhere to PHI and HIPAA regulations
  • Stay current with industry and participate in ongoing education and training

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or medical billing is a plus
  • Knowledge of and experience with billing and coding processes
  • Proficiency in using financial software and tools (Raintree software is a plus) and in managing general office tasks
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in fast paced environment

SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST – Afternoons
Pediatric Therapies is interviewing for a speech therapist to cover afternoon hours.  Beyond being a skilled and creative therapist, candidates must love helping children and families, and must thrive on working as part of a team.  At least 2 years experience providing evidence-based practice in pediatrics is preferred.  New grads with strong pediatric fieldwork experience and references will be considered.

Volunteers and Students

Are you a university student who needs observation hours or someone who is looking to volunteer their time to help children and families? You may qualify to join our incredible volunteer team! Volunteers must be 18 years old or older, available to work 4-8 hours per week for an entire semester or summer, participate in a short training program and pass a background check. Volunteers assist with light housekeeping and office tasks within the clinic. They have ample opportunity to observe therapy and interact with OTs, PTs, and STs. If interested in a volunteer position, please complete the application below.  If accepted you will be contacted by email within 3 weeks after  the deadline and invited to attend a mandatory orientation. Please note that we are unable to host short-term job shadowing experiences.
