Alexis Perez

Alexis Perez M.S, CCC-SLP is an ASHA certified speech-language pathologist who is passionate about helping children build confident, functional communication skills in a supportive and play-based environment. She earned her Bachelors of Science degree from Iona University in 2015 and completed her Masters of Science degree at Mercy University in 2019, where she developed a strong clinical foundation working with diverse populations in private practice, home care, preschool and clinic based settings.

Alexis specializes in feeding therapy, early language development, and motor speech disorders. She is a PROMPT Bridge-trained therapist, incorporating tactile-kinesthetic techniques to support speech production and improve motor planning.

As a play-based therapist, Alexis uses child-led, engaging activities to foster communication, connection, and learning in a natural and motivating way. She provides evaluation and treatment for a variety of speech and language needs, including speech sound disorders, childhood apraxia of speech, autism spectrum disorders, expressive/receptive language delays, social communication, developmental delays and feeding/swallowing disorders. Her approach is individualized, evidence-based, and centered on each client’s unique strengths, interests, and goals while working on a multidisciplinary team.

Alexis values building strong, collaborative relationships with families and caregivers and strives to make therapy both effective and enjoyable.

Outside of work, Alexis enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, reading, and exploring all that Nashville has to offer!
