Comfortable, stretchy, but not too loose or too bulky clothing is best, so your child will be able to move readily without restriction. It’s also a good idea to have a sleeveless top and shorts available for your child to change into, particularly with physical therapy. Sometimes the therapists need to have a better look at upper or lower extremity joints, including the joints above and/or below the one that appears to be affected. Additionally, please be sure your child is wearing socks. Because we have mats covering most of our therapy space, our therapists and little friends alike wear socks to keep our treatment areas as clean and sweet smelling as possible!
